Privacy

1. When you make your booking with us, we will keep your name, address, contact number and email (if applicable) on file. This ensures we can contact you in relation to your holiday booking. We:

• Store your information within a password protected computer and/or in a paper file in a locked office at our home at Gone Fishin.

• We only use this information to assist with your booking. We do not share any information with third parties.

• After your holiday, upon your request, we will delete all of your personal information. Otherwise, we will hold this to assist with any future bookings.

2. You should note that the law in France requires owners of hospitality accommodation to have requested each individual guest to complete a form with details of passport number, date of birth, full names and maiden name. This data is kept by us securely for 6 months (as required by French law) and never given to a third party, unless we are required to do so by the French police.

Details of regulation pertinent to this below:

“Pursuant to article R. 611 – 42 of the code of entry and stay of foreigners and the right of asylum, and for the purpose of prevention of the disorders to public order, criminal investigation and research in the interest of the people, hoteliers, the operators of villages and family holiday homes, of residences and residential tourism villages, renters of self-catering and guesthouses, campground operators, RV and other land are required to complete and sign an individual record on arrival from abroad, this is fixed by order of the Minister of the Interior, the Minister responsible for immigration and the Minister of Tourism. Each individual police form, drafted in French and English, must be completed and signed by all tourist foreign nationals, including a national of the European Union, upon arrival in the hotel tourism.”

La fiche individuelle de police, rédigée en français et en anglais, doit obligatoirement être remplie et signée par tout touriste de nationalité étrangère, y compris par un ressortissant de l’Union européenne, dès son arrivée dans l’établissement touristique”.)

3. Please note: At Gone Fishin your safety and security are very important to us. We have two security cameras on our property. These are targeted at our entrance gate and garage. They do not point to any private areas of your Gite accommodation (including your garden). These cameras act as a deterrent. All footage is on a loop turnaround and automatically deletes in 8 to 10 days. No footage is stored indefinitely.
