Visit whilst on holiday at Gone Fishin' La Roque-Gageac, Dordogne.
La Roque Gageac, a delightful place on the banks of the Dordogne River.
It has a single street which separates houses and river, and behind the buildings are Troglodyte rock houses cut into the cliff face.
Boat trips are available on the riverside next to the car park. This little gem can get very busy in the summer, but is definitely a ‘must see’. As it lies only 8k from Sarlat it may be found convenient to tie it in with a visit there.
Getting there this is the same route as to Sarlat but look out for the turn when you have passed through Beynac or are returning from Sarlet. Signposted from the D703.
